Can you briefly describe the area of business that you are working with, including your primary work tasks?
I work in the RA or Regulatory Affairs department. It acts as our interface between the pharmaceutical/medical device industry and Regulatory authorities across the world. To me it is a cross-disciplinary domain where regulations, business and engineering interact.

What are the most exciting and challenging tasks you face in your job?
I like the fact that we keep track of the ever-changing legislation landscape and that we enable access to world markets through communication and necessary negotiations with local regulatory authorities.
Furthermore, I am also involved in strategic development for the organization.

What are the most exciting and challenging tasks that you face in your job?
Getting beyond cultural differences. 3Shape has a truly global presence. As a 3Shaper, you need to understand different ways of thinking, process them, and create a common understanding for all involved stakeholders. For me, it’s challenging but a rewarding part of my work.
Cross-functional tasks: As a regulatory affairs specialist in 3Shape, you work with different departments and teams. It creates a very diverse sets of tasks, which I like. There are moments when you need step out of your comfort zone and try new ways of understanding and solving problems.

Which three things are of most importance, when working in an organization like 3Shape?
It is being agile, and prioritizing teamwork, and the ability to look into business needs.

Why is 3Shape an attractive organization for you to work at?
It is a very young a dynamic organization with a lot of passionate people. My coworkers are respectful, but they also know how to have fun!
