How would you describe your field and main tasks?
As a Data Scientist in TDC Group, in the AI & Robotics team, my job is to create insight from data using advanced analytics. I work with data to understand needs in the market with the purpose of enhancing the business from a data-driven approach. I use machine learning and cutting edge technology, open source and enterprise tools to derive insights about the marked. As a data scientist, I focus on three main areas: data management, mathematical modeling and statistics, and understanding of TDC’s business context.

What are the most exciting and challenging parts of your job?
One of the things I find most exciting about my job is that I get to constantly learn and explore the newest methods and tools within machine learning and data science, and utilize this to increase business processes and business value in one of Denmark’s biggest telecom companies. Moving towards a more data-driven future is exciting to be a part of.

How do you use your education in your position?
I work on end-to-end projects, which means that I get to use my business knowledge in combination with my data science skills like scripting and data management. Thus, I get to use many things from my education and develop these skills even further, also because of the freedom to focus on my interests in my job. In my job it is also important to be able to communicate complex and advanced language in a simple and easy-understandable way – and thus, demands working closely together in my team and with stakeholders.

Why is TDC Group an attractive company for you to work in?
TDC is an attractive place for me to work because I get to work with various advanced and complex statistical methods as well as data models and machine learning. I get to combine this with my business knowledge and create useful data driven insights for usage in a business context with the purpose of streamlining the business even further. TDC also have a good and open working environment with room for sparring, learning and social activities with my colleagues.
